With a train passing right through the busy market, Maeklong Railway Market is one of the most popular tourist attractions around Bangkok. Maeklong Railway Market, or Maeklong Train Market, is famous for the train passing smack through the middle of the operating market. Vendors put out their goods (mostly fruit, fish and meat) right up to the railway tracks, and fold their umbrellas and awnings just moments before the train passes. It’s like a synchronized dance. Wat Bang Kung
Wat Bang Kung, a temple near the Mae Khlong River, has a long history dating back to the Ayutthaya kingdom. It was a place of spiritual significance for soldiers at the nearby naval fort. - Amphawa is a floating market near Bangkok that is smaller than Damnoen Saduak but more genuine, as it mainly attracts Thai visitors. It has been a village since the 17th century and has become extremely popular among people from Bangkok on weekends, with food stalls expanding from the riverbanks into the nearby streets. The main attraction is undoubtedly the opportunity to enjoy seafood cooked on wooden boats anchored near the well-known central bridge. These boats offer a delicious selection of prawns, shellfish, and squid. From midday until late at night, the enticing aroma attracts numerous customers who gather on both sides of the river throughout the day.
