You’ll see the city, learn about our heritage, and experience the wild peninsula all in one comfortable and interesting tour. Our guide will commentate throughout the journey, and there’s plenty of time to chat and ask as many questions as you like. The Otago Peninsula Eco Tour is included in the price, along with entry to the Larnach Castle gardens. Tours inside the castle are not included.
Dunedin is an ecotourism hub, and we have different attractions for all ages. On our Otago Peninsula tours from Dunedin, you will be able to access all the attractions and explore as much or as little as you like. We’ll also make sure you have plenty of opportunities to photograph the wildlife and scenery.

See penguins up close in the rehab centre (when penguins are present). Take an approximately 1 hour walk through the reserve to view various wildlife and great views of the rugged East coast. An extensive commentary on what the Opera people do to try to help the endangered Yellow Eyed penguins and various othe wild life.

Learn about the endangered yellow-eyed penguins, visit the Penguin Rehabilitation Centre (when penguins are present), and experience a guided tour through the reserve, which is home to numerous native plants and animals. (Please note there is approximately 1.5 kilometres of walking on this tour up and down steps and uneven ground. This tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or disabled people. A moderate degree of fitness is required)
