Join us on a 4-day guided hike through the breathtaking Lares region to the iconic Machu Picchu.

The Lares Hike is perfect for getting to know the communities of the Andes who maintain their colorful traditional clothing and Quechua language; men and women whose livelihoods are dedicated to the principal activities of pastoralism (raising llamas and alpacas) and the cultivation of native products like potato, corn, and various grains which will be part of our meals throughout the progression of our hike—products which are 100% organically grown using ancestral tilling instruments and natural fertilizers. .

- The day’s activities will start at 6:00 AM when your private transport and guide will arrive to pick you up at your hotel in Cusco to begin a 3.5 hour drive to our departure point, Cuncani. There we will meet our mules/horses and porters, before starting our gradual ascent for 2.5 hours that will take us through colorful landscapes where we can see animals like llamas, alpacas, and viscachas, and enjoy spectacular views of mountain lakes and glaciers. After a 4-hour trek, you will reach the small village of Cancha Cancha (3,800 m) where you will spend the night.
