The Island was declared a natural and cultural UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Interact with the prison's former inmates and learn more about the Island’s multi-layered 500-year-old history. The tour will take you through various historical sites around the Island and culminates with a viewing of Nelson Mandela’s cell.
