Embarking on this thrilling 4-day small-group tour from Cape Town is designed to showcase the best of South Africa's diverse landscapes. You will enjoy touring the Cango Caves, a beautiful game drive full of wildlife including Africa's Big 5, hiking in one of the best nature reserves in South Africa, whale watching (in season), wine tasting and watching the African Penguins in their natural habitat. Day 1

We depart from Cape Town at 8am heading to Oudtshoorn where we join the R62 Wine Route and travel through the Little Karoo Region. We go past several towns such as Robertson, Montagu until we reach Oudtshoorn.

We do a guided tour of the Cango Caves. The Cango Caves, located near Oudtshoorn in South Africa, are a magnificent subterranean wonder, renowned for their vast halls and intricate limestone formations. These caves stretch deep into the Swartberg Mountains, offering visitors a journey through stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and ancient rock formations. The main chambers, some towering up to 20 meters high, are illuminated to highlight their natural beauty, creating a surreal, almost otherworldly atmosphere. Day 2

You will go on a guided 4x4 game safari in Botlierskop Game Reserve. 

A 4x4 game drive in Botlierskop Game Reserve offers an exhilarating journey through the diverse landscapes of the Western Cape, South Africa. As you traverse the rugged terrain, you’ll encounter a wide range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo, all in their natural habitats. The reserve's expert guides share fascinating insights into the flora and fauna, ensuring an immersive experience. The game drive combines the thrill of off-road adventure with the serene beauty of the reserve, making it a perfect way to connect with nature and witness the incredible biodiversity of the region.

In the after we tour the Knysna Quays Waterfront area. 
The Knysna Quays Waterfront is a vibrant hub of activity nestled along the picturesque Knysna Lagoon. This popular destination features an array of boutique shops, gourmet restaurants, and cozy cafés, all set against the backdrop of scenic marina views. Visitors can stroll along the boardwalk, watching boats gently bobbing in the water or enjoy fresh seafood while soaking in the relaxed atmosphere. The waterfront’s lively yet laid-back vibe makes it a perfect spot for both leisurely exploration and social gatherings, embodying the charm and beauty of Knysna.

In late afternoon you can go on a sunset boat cruise in the Knysna Lagoon. This is an own cost activity. Price is $20-00.

With a refreshing drink in hand, you can relax on deck, taking in the tranquil ambiance and the stunning play of light and color, making for an unforgettable evening on the water.

Day 3

After breakfast we start with a tour of the Knysna Heads.
A tour of the Knysna Heads offers breathtaking views of one of South Africa’s most iconic coastal landmarks. These two towering sandstone cliffs guard the entrance to the Knysna Lagoon, where the Indian Ocean meets the tranquil waters of the estuary. As you explore the area, you’ll be treated to panoramic vistas of the rugged coastline, shimmering waters, and lush forests that surround the town of Knysna. Whether viewed from the top of the cliffs, by boat, or from the beaches below, the Knysna Heads provide a stunning backdrop for any adventure, blending natural beauty with a sense of serene escape.

From Knysna Heads we head to Robberg Nature Reserve, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in South Africa. We go hiking here. 

Hiking in Robberg Nature Reserve offers an exhilarating journey through one of South Africa's most stunning coastal landscapes. Located near Plettenberg Bay, the reserve features well-marked trails that wind along rugged cliffs, golden beaches, and ancient caves. As you trek, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the ocean, the possibility of spotting seals, dolphins, and even whales during migration season. The diverse flora and fauna, combined with the dramatic scenery, make hiking in Robberg a rewarding experience for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, blending adventure with the tranquility of untouched wilderness.

We do a brief tour of this beautiful coastal town. 

We also relax at the beach in Plettenberg Bay. The beach is situated on a prime beachfront location, offering direct access to soft, golden sands and the gentle waves of the Indian Ocean. Whether you’re lounging under the warm sun, taking a leisurely swim, or simply enjoying the stunning coastal views, the beach provides a serene escape. The combination of luxurious amenities and the tranquil seaside atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway.

We also visit Bloukrans Bridge in Tsitsikama National Park for one of the world's highest bungy jumps at 216m. This is an optional own cost activity which costs $50-00 per person.

Day 4

On arrival in Hermanus, we do a brief tour of this beautiful coastal town. 

A tour of Hermanus, a charming coastal town in South Africa, offers a delightful blend of natural beauty and vibrant culture. Famous for being one of the world’s best whale-watching destinations, Hermanus provides visitors with breathtaking views of southern right whales breaching close to shore, particularly during the winter and spring months. Whether you're enjoying the stunning ocean vistas, visiting the local art galleries, or savoring fresh seafood, Hermanus promises an unforgettable experience.

From Hermanus we proceed to Benguela Cove Wine Estate where taste 5 different wines. 

Wine tasting at Benguela Cove Wine Estate is a refined experience set against the stunning backdrop of South Africa's Walker Bay. Located near Hermanus, this coastal vineyard offers a unique opportunity to sample award-winning wines while enjoying panoramic views of the lagoon and surrounding mountains. The estate's tasting room provides an elegant and inviting atmosphere, where knowledgeable staff guide you through a selection of exceptional wines, including crisp whites, robust reds, and delicate rosés. Enjoy the 5 wines and savor the perfect blend of flavors and scenery at this beautiful estate.

From Benguela Cove Wine estate we proceed to Betty's By where we see the African Penguins. 

Viewing African penguins in Betty's Bay is a captivating experience that brings you up close to one of South Africa's most endearing wildlife species. Located at the Stony Point Nature Reserve, the colony is one of the largest breeding sites for these charming birds. As you walk along the boardwalks, you can observe the penguins in their natural habitat, waddling along the rocky shoreline, diving into the ocean, or tending to their nests. The dramatic coastal scenery adds to the charm, making Betty's Bay a must-visit destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

We now make the final drive from Betty's Bay to Cape Town on the Whale Coast. The route provides breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, with occasional sightings of whales and other marine life during the right season.

We reach Cape Town in late afternoon at around 6pm to conclude this wonderful tour.
