Bang Pa In Palace

Wat Mahathat
Wat Mahathat is a historically significant 14th-century temple renowned for the iconic stone Buddha head entwined in a Bodhi tree's roots. Despite its destruction during the fall of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, it remains a popular tourist destination, with its ruins offering a fascinating insight into Thailand's rich history.
Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit
The Viharn Phra Mongkol Bophit houses one of the biggest bronze Buddha statues in Thailand, made way back in 1538. The amazing statue is also called 'Phra Mongkol Bophit', had to be moved and repaired a few times over the years by many Thai kings because of things like lightning strikes and fires."
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet
Wat Phra Si Sanphet is a significant historic site and was once considered the grandest temple in the ancient capital. This temple was used exclusively for royal ceremonies. It houses the ashes of three Ayutthayan kings. This impressive complex reflects the architectural style of the late Ayutthaya period and serves as a symbol of a once-thriving kingdom.
Wat Chaiwatthanaram
Wat Chaiwattanaram is a stunning Buddhist temple that is testament to the grandeur of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, constructed in 1630 by King Prasat Thong to commemorate his mother and suffered damage during fall of Ayuttaya. The key features of the temple are chapels with numerous seated Buddha statues and intricate reliefs depicting scenes from the life of Buddha.
