Whether you're driving or riding pillion, the Ha Giang Loop is a chance to see Northern Vietnam like no other. From my own personal experience, three days was enough, but because of the amount of driving involved, your back and ass will feel it! If you have more time, take it, you won't regret it!

-Check in: KM 0 Milestone - Bac Sum Slope - Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Stopover to see the entire Doi Mountain, Tam Son Town
-12:30 After passing Can Ty pass, check in some beautiful spots, lonely trees, Van Chai cliff, then have lunch at Yen Minh town
-13:30 continue towards Dong Van to check in: Tham Ma pass , Pho Cao village, Sung La valley, visit Lung Cam cultural village imbued with H'Mong ethnic identity, visit "Pao's house" , Tam Giac Mach field, Moon rock field in Sa Phin village.

Quan Ba Heaven Gate

The Quan Ba Heaven Gate is one of the five most famous Heaven's Gates in Vietnam in addition to the Anh Giang Heaven Gate (Cao Bang), O Quy Ho Heaven Gate (Sapa), Linh Quy Phap An Heaven Gate (Da Lat), Nghinh Phong Heaven Gate (Vung Tau). Located at the entrance to the Dong Van karst plateau, Quan Ba is a must-see destination when arriving in Ha Giang.
The road to Quan Ba Heaven Gate (Ha Giang) is a breathtaking route for backpackers. It is located on National Road 4C, which connects Ha Giang city and Tam Son town. To reach Quan Ba Heaven Gate, from Tam Son, you only have to go further 3km to the north or from Ha Giang city centre, it takes about 1 hour to drive 46 km.Read moreMore about Quan Ba Heaven Gate

Lung Cam Cultural - Tourism Village

Lung Cam Village located in the centre of Sung La Valley, Sung La Commune, Dong Van District, is home to 3 ethnic groups of Mong, Lo Lo and Han. Of which 85% are Mong people. Sung La Valley boasts a romantic scenery of a karst plateau with boundless mountain ranges, fresh corn fields, colorful gardens and hundred-years-old ancient houses.
H’mong houses in Lung Cam village have almost an identical look with rustic moss-covered walls surrounded by rock fences.
Lung Cam is also the village where the famous house of Pao in the award-winning movie ‘Story of Pao’ is located. The house is opened for visit with admission of 10,000VND per person.
The village is nested in a very romantic valley with 61 households in total of which are 53 households of Hmong ethnic people. Coming to Lung Cam village, visitors can enjoy the idyllic landscape and the peaceful way for life of the locals.Read moreMore about Lung Cam Cultural - Tourism Village

-16:30: Visit the mansion of the Vuong family (King of the Hmong people): Coming here, you will truly admire the life and culture of the H'Mong people. In the late afternoon, under the last sunlight of the day, you will get the most authentic experience of the architectural exchange of three cultures: H'Mong, French, and Chinese.
-18:00: Check in hotel, homestay and rest
-19:30: Dinner, then free to walk around Dong Van old town, to enjoy street food at Dong Van old town night market.
