Join us on a walking tour of the Hue Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This impressive landmark is part of the complex of Hue Monuments, steeped in culture, history, and architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty. Founded in 1804 by Emperor Gia Long for the royal family, the Imperial Citadel was completed in 1832 during the reign of Emperor Ming Mang. Your Hue Imperial Citadel Walking Tour begins with a pick-up at Toa Kham Boat Station or your hotel (if on the way to the Citadel). From there, you'll walk to the Thuong Tu Entrance and enter the Imperial Citadel, where you’ll see landmarks like the Nine Holy Cannons, Phoenix Tower, and Flag Tower. The tour continues through the Hue Imperial City, including the Supreme Harmony Palace (Thai Hoa Palace), Hue Forbidden City, The To Temple, Hien Lam Cac, Cuu Dinh, Queen’s Mother Residences, Dien Tho Palace, Truong Sanh Place, Co Ha Royal Garden, and Duyet Thi Duong Royal Theater. Finally, the tour ends at the Museum of Antiquities, showcasing relics from the Nguyen Dynasty.
