Formed as a result of rapid cooling from flowing lava and subsequent contraction, the thick lava columns resemble a series of overlapping hexagonal stone pillars surrounding the area like a folding screen, allowing visitors to enjoy the mystery of nature. The waves crashing against these pillars provide a breathtaking spectacle, sometimes creating a show where they soar to heights of over 20 meters, captivating onlookers. The Jusangjeolli Cliffs in Jungmun and Daepo Coast boast heights of 30 to 40 meters and a width of approximately 1 kilometer, making them the largest in Korea and designated as Natural Monument No. 443 in Jeju Island. And this is UNESCO GEOPARK.Read moreMore about Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff

The Oedolgae Rock, standing at a height of about 20 meters and with a width of 7 to 10 meters, is a unique coastal attraction formed by the erosive action of waves on lava flows from volcanic eruptions, creating vertical sea cliffs and sea caves. It presents a stunning coastal landscape where the rugged cliffs and eroded caves merge harmoniously. According to legend, the Oedolgae Rock was formed when a grandmother, who turned into stone while waiting for her grandfather who never returned from the sea, became the rock itself.Read moreMore about Oedolgae
