1. Introduction

BOOK TOUR X PRIVATE LIMITED ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on BookTourX (the "Platform"), whether you are a Customer, Supplier, or other user of the Platform. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, the categories of cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and how you can control or withdraw your consent to them.

This Cookie Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data. Where this Cookie Policy is silent, the Privacy Policy applies.

By continuing to use the Platform after being presented with our cookie banner, and where applicable providing your consent through that banner or your Cookie Preference Center settings, you agree to our use of cookies as described in this Policy. Where consent is legally required before non-essential cookies are set (including for users in the EEA, UK, and other opt-in jurisdictions), we will not activate those cookies until you consent.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies

A "cookie" is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website or use an app, which allows the site or app to recognize your device and remember information about your visit. We also use, and this Policy also covers, similar tracking technologies, including:

  • Pixels/web beacons — small transparent images embedded in web pages or emails that indicate whether content has been viewed or an email opened
  • Software development kits (SDKs) — code embedded in our mobile apps that enables similar functionality to cookies on mobile devices
  • Local storage / SDK-based device identifiers — technologies used in our mobile apps to store preferences or recognize a device, functionally similar to cookies
  • Server-side tags and tag management systems — used to organize and deploy the tracking technologies described in this Policy

References to "cookies" in this Policy include these similar technologies unless the context requires otherwise.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

We use the following types of cookies on our Platform:

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function properly. They enable core features such as security, page navigation, and access to secure areas, including for both Customer and Supplier accounts. These cookies cannot be disabled via our cookie banner.

Examples include: Session management, Fraud prevention, Login authentication.

3.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Platform by collecting anonymous usage data. This allows us to improve functionality, speed, and content relevance. Tools used may include: Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel.

3.3 Functional Cookies

These cookies allow the Platform to remember your preferences (e.g., language, region, currency, or login status) to provide a more personalized experience.

3.4 Targeting and Advertising Cookies

These cookies track browsing habits and are used to deliver relevant ads based on your interests. They may be set by us or by third-party advertising partners (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Pixel). Note: You may receive fewer targeted ads if you opt out of these cookies, but not necessarily fewer ads overall.

3.5 Social Media Cookies

These cookies are set by third-party social media services we have added to the Platform (e.g., a "Share" or "Log in with" button) to enable you to share content or log in using your social media account. The relevant social media provider can also use these cookies for its own purposes, in accordance with its own privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on the Platform are placed by third parties, such as analytics providers, advertising networks, payment processors, and social media platforms. These third parties may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to collect information about your use of the Platform and other websites/apps over time, for their own purposes, in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control these third-party technologies and encourage you to review the relevant third party's policy for further information, including:

5. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences

5.1 Browser Controls

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Because the mechanism differs by browser, please consult your browser's help function or the links below:

Please note that blocking or deleting cookies through your browser may affect the functionality of the Platform, including your ability to log in, complete a booking, or maintain saved preferences.

5.2 Mobile App and Device Settings

On our mobile app, you can manage tracking and advertising identifiers through your device settings, including:

  • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising
  • Android: Settings > Google > Ads, to reset or opt out of your advertising ID

5.3 Industry Opt-Out Tools

You may also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through industry platforms:

5.4 California — "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"

We do not sell personal information for money. Where advertising cookies are considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents may opt out by enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal (e.g., Global Privacy Control) in a supported browser, which we will honor as a valid opt-out request.

6. Legal Basis and Consent

Where required by applicable law (including the GDPR/UK GDPR and the EU/UK ePrivacy rules), we obtain your opt-in consent before setting non-essential cookies (Performance/Analytics, Functional, Advertising/Targeting, and Social Media cookies), via the cookie banner presented on your first visit. You may withdraw consent at any time through the Cookie Preference Center referenced in Section 5.1, with the same ease as it was given.

Strictly Necessary cookies are deployed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a functioning and secure Platform, and do not require consent.

Where the Singapore PDPA or other opt-out frameworks apply, we provide clear notice of cookie use and a straightforward mechanism to opt out, consistent with Section 5.

7. "Do Not Track" Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no accepted industry standard for recognizing DNT signals, the Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals; instead, we offer the granular cookie controls described in Section 5. Where you enable a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat this as a valid opt-out request under Section 5.4.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies and technologies we use, or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated Policy with a revised "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice (e.g., a renewed cookie banner or in-Platform notification) and, where required by law, obtain renewed consent before the changes take effect.
