This 6-day Iceland adventure combines cultural highlights with unforgettable landscapes. Start in Reykjavík, where vibrant streets, cozy cafes, and a lively arts scene set the tone. A guided Golden Circle day tour then takes you to Þingvellir National Park, the erupting Strokkur geyser, and the breathtaking Gullfoss waterfall.

During the winter months, you can choose to add an evening Northern Lights excursion, led by expert guides who select the best viewing spots away from city lights.

To personalize your journey, optional experiences include a rejuvenating visit to the Blue Lagoon, a South Shore day tour with waterfalls, glaciers, and black sand beaches, or a Reykjavík Food Tour. 

Room Allocation: Guests booking for one person will be accommodated in a single room. Bookings for two persons will be placed in a double room. Bookings for three persons will be accommodated in a double room with an extra bed or a triple room

Day 1

Touch down in Iceland and make your own way to your hotel in the capital for your first overnight stay. Use the evening to get acquainted with Reykjavík — explore its lively downtown, dine in cosy restaurants, or browse local boutiques and galleries.

Day 2

Embark on a journey through the famous Golden Circle, one of Iceland’s most celebrated sightseeing routes. This full-day guided tour takes you to the tectonic rift valley at Þingvellir National Park, the bubbling geothermal area of Geysir where Strokkur geyser erupts every few minutes, and the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, often framed by sparkling winter ice.

We start the day at Þingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Known for its dramatic landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and historical significance as the site of Iceland’s first parliament, it offers both natural beauty and cultural depth.

Note: The Golden Circle Tour operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Therefore, it may not always take place on day 2 of your trip — the exact day will depend on which weekday you book. This will also determine the order of any optional tours you choose to include in your itinerary.

The Geysir Geothermal Area is home to steaming vents, bubbling hot springs, and the famous Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes. Visitors can experience Iceland’s geothermal power up close in this lively and ever-changing landscape.

Gullfoss, or the “Golden Falls,” is one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. Cascading in two dramatic stages into a rugged canyon, it creates powerful mist and rainbows on sunny days, making it a highlight of the Golden Circle route.

For those visiting in the darker months, you can add an optional Northern Lights evening tour. Expert guides monitor aurora and weather conditions, leading you away from city lights to the best possible viewing spots. The excursion is usually planned for your second night, with flexibility to reschedule if conditions are unfavourable.

Day 3

Today you have the chance to unwind in the world-renowned Blue Lagoon. Surrounded by lava fields, its warm, mineral-rich waters offer a truly soothing and unique experience. This visit is available as an optional upgrade and can be booked in advance. Included is return transfer, mud mask, rented towel and 1 drink.

Day 4

Free day in Reykjavík or venture along Iceland’s dramatic southern coast on an optional full-day guided tour. Highlights include the cascading Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, the striking black sands of Reynisfjara beach, and breathtaking views of glaciers and volcanoes as you travel past farmlands and rugged cliffs.

First stop is Seljalandsfoss, one of Iceland’s most photographed waterfalls, famous for the path that allows visitors to walk behind the cascading water. Surrounded by lush cliffs, it offers a magical view at sunset when the light shines through the mist.

Next, we admire the majestic Skógafoss Waterfall. It is one of the most powerful waterfalls in the country, 60 m high and 25 m wide. Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is usually visible on sunny days.

Next, we stop by the black sand beach at Reynisfjara to view the geological formation and the smashing waves. Be careful not to step too close as the waves can be dangerous.

Before heading back to Reykjavík, we visit Vík í Mýrdal, a seafront village that sits in the shadow of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, which covers the Katla volcano.

Drive back to Reykjavík is about 3 hours with some stops on the way.

Day 5

Free day in Reykjavík or round off your Icelandic experience with the Reykjavík Food Tour — a fun and flavourful walking tour through the heart of the city. Taste traditional Icelandic dishes like lamb soup, skyr, and even fermented shark, alongside local delicacies at carefully chosen eateries. This optional tour offers a perfect blend of culture, storytelling, and culinary adventure.

Day 6

Check out from your hotel and make your way to Keflavík International Airport. Leave Iceland with unforgettable memories of its magic, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture.
