Here is the starting point
Þingvellir National Park
1
Þingvellir National Park
Stop: 40 minutes
Þingvellir National Park
Thingvellir National Park is famous for both historical and geological matters. On the one hand, this is the place where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates split. On the other hand, it is a symbolically important place in the history of the Icelandic nation formation, the place of the national assembly fount by the first settlers in the Viking Age.
2
Gullfoss
Stop: 45 minutes
Gullfoss
Gullfoss is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland, consisting of two stages. The height of the first cascade is 11 meters (33 ft), and the second is 21 meters (65 ft). The waterfall flows into the canyon with walls reaching up to 70 meters (230 ft) in height. Geologists believe the canyon was formed due to glacial outbursts at the end of the last ice age.
3
Haukadalur
Stop: 45 minutes
Haukadalur
During this stop, we will walk through the small geothermal valley of Haukadalur, famous for its Geysir and Strokkur hot springs. Although Geysir is inactive today, Strokkur, the largest active geyser in the country, erupts every 5-10 minutes up to 20-35 meters (60-100 feet) in height.
4
Fridheimar
Stop: 45 minutes
Fridheimar
The Fridheimar tomato greenhouse is recommended for visiting and having lunch on a trip.
5
Seljalandsfoss
Stop: 30 minutes
Seljalandsfoss
Seljalandsfoss is a supremely graceful waterfall fed by the meltwater of the Eyjafjallajokull glacier. This impressive natural wonder falls about 63 meters (200 feet) into the quiet pool below, and there is a hidden trail behind the falls so that you can watch the waterfall from all directions.
6
Víkurfjara Black Sand Beach
Stop: 30 minutes
Víkurfjara Black Sand Beach
Reynisfjara is the most famous black sand beach on the south coast of Iceland. Its beautiful black sand and pebbles, vertical basalt columns, powerful ocean waves, and the nearby Reinisdrangar sea cliffs make Reinisfjara a truly unique place to visit.
7
Skogafoss
Stop: 30 minutes
Skogafoss
Skogafoss, one of Iceland's largest and most elegant waterfalls, is 60 m (195 feet) high and 25 m (75 feet) wide. It generates a lot of sprays, which on sunny days often creates a bright single or even double rainbow, adding to the charm of Skogafoss Falls. We can walk to the waterfall's base and the stairs to the observation deck to see the waterfall from above.
This concludes the tour.
