Taste Central Otago wine and cuisine on a small-group tour of the region’s boutique vineyards. Group size is limited to 12 wine lovers to ensure personal service as you sip your way through four Central Otago wineries, pausing for a gourmet lunch in a vineyard. Visiting smaller vintners helps you get a feel for what makes Central Otago wines distinctive, from chardonnay to pinot gris and riesling.

What you'll do

Designed as a premium small-group experience, it showcases the very best of the Central Otago wine region. This tour offers the perfect introduction to the region’s award-winning wines, rich history, stunning landscapes, and local cuisine.

This all-inclusive boutique wine tour includes visits to four premium boutique vineyards across three contrasting wine sub-regions - Gibbston Valley, Cromwell and the Bannockburn basin. All tastings are prebooked and fully hosted. Each stop highlights the unique character of Central Otago, including its world-renowned Pinot Noir.

Sit down and savour a delicious platter-style lunch at Carrick Winery & Restaurant (or a similar premium venue). Featuring locally sourced produce, lunch will be accompanied by a flight of four estate wines. This is a standout experience and a true taste of Central Otago’s food and wine culture.

Itinerary for the day

The vineyards we visit on this tour change daily. We typically choose from Mt Rosa, Kinross, Misha's Vineyard, Te Kano Estate, Akarua Winery & Cellar Door, Brennan Wines, Waitiri Creek and Nockie's Palette. If there is a particular vineyard on this tour are you excited about visiting, or you wish to request a particular vineyard, be sure to mention this in the notes section upon booking.

There will be time to stroll around the beautiful grounds and take in the stunning panoramic views of the Bannockburn Inlet and Lake Dunstan.

Travel in comfort aboard a luxury Mercedes-Benz minivan while your specialist wine guide provides engaging commentary on the region’s wines, landscapes, and pioneering history. Enjoy a relaxed, informative, and entertaining experience from start to finish.
