What you'll do
Full-Day Sacred Lake Humantay Trek
Tour Highlight
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 am. We will take you to Mollepata in our private transport, which will take approximately 2 hours. Once we arrive in Mollepata, we will have breakfast to start our day.
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Soraypampa, which is located at an altitude of 3,900 meters above sea level. The drive will take approximately 1 hour and a half.
Once we arrive in Soraypampa, we will start our hike to Humantay Lake, which is located at an altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level. The hike will take approximately 1 hour and a half.
Once we arrive at Humantay Lake, we will enjoy the beautiful turquoise lagoon and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
After enjoying the views and taking in the tranquility of the lake, we will start our hike back to Soraypampa

Lake Humantay is a beautiful landscape hidden in the Peruvian Mountain Salkantay, the snow capped mountain. We will hike from Soraypampa to Lake Humantay. Lake Humantay is a turquoise green natural resource and a sacred site to Andean people. After the trek we will have a spiritual moment with local shaman who will perform a beautiful ceremony. Hiking you will see one of the most magnificent landscapes in Peru.
The Humantay lake altitude is 4250 m.a.s.l and this make an unique weather and temperatura in this area. The Humantay lake Temperatura can arrive to 5º C during the day and at night drop down to 0º C.
