Pallay Poncho Mountain is a breathtaking natural attraction in the Cusco region, also known as Condorpa Sayanán (Place Where the Condor Stands) or “The Sharp Mountain” due to its striking shape.
This group tour begins with hotel pickup at 4:30 a.m., followed by a two-hour drive to Cusipata for breakfast. We then continue for about an hour and a half to the town of Layo (3,978 m.a.s.l.), where we’ll enjoy a brief explanation and time for photos.
From Layo, we travel to the starting point of the hike. The one-hour uphill walk takes us to Pallay Poncho at 4,791 m.a.s.l., where stunning panoramic views await. You’ll have time for pictures and to learn more from your guide before returning.
On the way back, we stop to admire the three bridges of Checacupe, arriving in Cusco around 7:00 p.m., ending the tour near the Main Square.
This concludes the tour.
