This temple also shares the splendid sunset backdrops as that of Tanah Lot Temple, another important sea temple located in the island's western shores.

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is one of the nine Khayangan Jagat temples that surround the island of Bali. This temple is a place used by Hindus in Bali and Indonesia to worship Almighty God in his manifestation as the "Tri Murti" (Brahma, Vishnu & Shiva ) in its hope for the fertility of the land, prosperity and human welfare, including for the preservation of the universe.
