What you'll do
Mount Batur is an active volcano on the island of Bali, located in the Kintamani area of Bangli regency. The volcano can be reached from the capital city of Denpasar within a 2-hour drive. Mount Batur is situated in the north of Bali, with an altitude of 1,717 meters above sea level. The volcano is located in the middle of a large caldera, which is home to Mount Abang, the highest summit of the Batur caldera. The area surrounding Mount Batur is characterized by a lake with a crescent shape, known as Lake Batur. The landscape is punctuated by hillocks and series of craters, with jets of white steam puffing out of small holes. Mount Batur is a volcano that offers a breathtaking view of the sunrise, which is considered to be one of the most fantastic and amazing views in the world.
