During the sacred ceremony, the master prays with three Coca leaves (Kintu) given by Mother Earth to us and the Apus (Great Mountain Spirits). The shamanic healer also uses items like candy, colored wools, myrrh, frankincense, tallow, and a variety of foods and herbs that Andean people call "reach or dispatch". These items have to be specifically prepared for the offering by the master or Andean priest, who is also called "Paqos". Each element has its spiritual meaning and is therefore part of the ceremony.
