Located in the Peruvian Andes in Cusco, the Rainbow Mountain is a major attraction that can be visited after or before Machu Picchu. The mountain is famous for its natural, multi-colored beauty at an astonishing height of 5200 meters above sea level. The rainbow appearance is created by the sediment of minerals throughout the area, giving the mountain its turquoise, lavender, golden, and other colors.
