The adventure begins at 7.30am when adventurers are picked up and driven through the beautiful Sacred Valley and dropped off at Abra Malaga. Here we will change into the equipment we provide (gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, helmets) and receive a 20 minute briefing from our guide. Then our adventure begins. We begin by driving on challenging roads, passing through different levels of the ecosystem, including cloud forest and ice-covered mountains. After three hours we will arrive at Huaman Marca for lunch and then a van will take you to Santa Maria where we will start our exciting journey of rafting down the sacred Vilcanota River for about 2 hours. Finally we will arrive back in Santa Maria where we will have dinner and sleep. (Hostels)
