About

The Inca Trail is a 4-day, 3-night hike that takes you through the Andean mountains and cloud forests to the Sun Gate, where you'll have your first glimpse of Machu Picchu.

What you'll do

See Machu Picchu, a new wonder of the world and iconic Inca citadel, on a private tour from Aguas Calientes. With a personal guide, you'll receive undivided attention as you discover the history of ancient temples, terraced hills, and sacrificial sites. Take stunning photographs from the best vantage points with your familiar guide. Get up close and personal with resident llamas, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley from your dizzying perch.

Taking this private tour means that you will be able to choose a time, between 5:30 am and 3:30 pm, to receive your guide and depart by bus from Aguas Calientes. After a 20-minute drive to the top of Machu Picchu hill, you'll enter the archaeological site and begin a 2.5-hour tour of the ancient Inca citadel, characterized by its stepped hills, resident llamas, and dramatically jutting mountains. Enrich your historical knowledge at prominent archaeological sites such as the Main Temple, the Royal Tomb, and the Sacred Plaza, and capture spectacular photos at vantage points on the way to Puerta del Sol and the Temple of the Sun.
