What you'll do

Experience one of the world's most incredible wonders, Machu Picchu, on this full-day excursion departing from Cusco. Ride through the Andes Mountains and cloud forests on a train to reach the town of Aguas Calientes. Then, head up to the ancient citadel for a guided tour of the ruins, where you'll learn about its history and its importance to the Incas.

  • Pickup details• You will need to show your original passport in order to board the train to Aguas Calientes. • We offer pick up services from hotels within the city center or our meeting point. • You will receive a confirmed pickup time at the time of your booking. • One of our representatives will meet you the evening prior to your tour in order to deliver your tickets and brief you on the activities for the next day. • Use sneakers or light/tennis shoes. • Bring a raincoat (long poncho) during the rainy season. • You should bring a small backpack that weights up to 5kg. • You should wear comfortable clothing, sunscreen and a brimmed hat for sunny days.

  • Our adventure will start early in the morning, one of our guides will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Ollantaytambo Train Station. Here you will board a comfortable train.
  • Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, one of our guides will take you to the bus station in order to take a ride to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Your tour guide will show you the highlights of the ancient side, after which you will board a bus back to Aguas Calientes.
  • You will have free time in Aguas Calientes to have lunch (not included) and explore the village. In the afternoon, board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting for you in order to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.
