What you'll do

Embark on an unforgettable day-long excursion from Cusco to Machu Picchu. Begin with an early-morning transfer to the train station, where you'll board a train to Aguas Calientes, a village in the Valley of the Incas. Upon arrival, you'll meet your guide and board a bus bound for Machu Picchu, an ancient Inca citadel that sits more than 7,000 feet above sea level. With your guide, you'll tour the site for approximately two hours, exploring the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Three Windows, the House of the Priest, the Sacred Plaza and the Intihuatana Stone. With free time in the afternoon, you can explore the site on your own, perhaps climbing Huayna Picchu, a mountain with unparalleled views of the ancient ruins. There's no need to check out of your Cusco hotel, as this tour gets you there and back all in a single day.
