The 2nd Tunnel
Stop: 30 minutes
Located in the DMZ on the military demarcation line, this tunnel was discovered by Korean guards who heard the sounds of explosions beneath the ground while on duty, leading to an investigation using advanced drilling equipment. The tunnel is carved through a robust granitic layer and stretches 3.5km in length, situated between 50m and 160m underground.
