It serves as a major gateway for travelers and trade between the two countries, connecting Cambodia with the Thai town of Aranyaprathet. The border crossing connects Poipet with Aranyaprathet in Thailand, making it a popular route for travelers heading to and from Thailand. The Poipet-Aranyaprathet border crossing is one of the busiest land border checkpoints between Cambodia and Thailand. It is used by tourists, expatriates, and locals for both travel and trade.
