What you'll do

This tour is a must in Istanbul. You will start the day by visiting the Roman Hippodrome, where chariot races were organized by the Romans and Byzantines. Next, you will visit the Blue Mosque, the only mosque with six minarets, and its surrounding area. After that, you will see the German Fountain, a gift of Kaiser Wilhelm II. You will also hear the stories of his liaison with the Orient. The highlight of this day will be the visit to Hagia Sophia, the Church of Divine Wisdom. Following the visits, your guide will take you to the Grand Bazaar for a demonstration of Turkish Handicrafts.

  • The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is a historic mosque located in Istanbul, Turkey. A popular tourist site, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque continues to function as a mosque today. The Blue Mosque, as it is popularly known, was constructed between 1609 and 1616 during the rule of Ahmed I.
  • NOTE: Blue mosque is closed on Fridays until 2 pm. Caferaga Medrese and Blue Mosque will switch places on Fridays.
